Image:Austin-sparks.bmp

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:Austin-sparks.bmp. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 14:26, Nov 14, 2004 (UTC)

P.S. Image:Austin-sparks picture.jpg too.

Hi. We could use source and copyright status info on Image:Astridlindgren.jpg as well. Thanks, -- Infrogmation 04:41, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Biographies

[edit]

Please do not recreate articles, such as Bill Freeman, that have been deleted following a complaint on m:OTRS. I note that this article was deleted several times before, including after an AfD. I urge you to read carefully applicable policy on biographies of living people. David.Monniaux 16:38, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are simply incorrect. The article survived a deletion attempt in the past because of the notability of the subject (which is verified by the dozen or so articles in several newspapers in several states that are online). If there were problems with the article, that should have been discussed for editing purposes, not deleted and then blacked out. Your blocking me just for restoring the article manifests a very heavy hand. And it is silly that Wikipedia should kowtow to the Bill Freeman crowd's attempts at blacking out any online information. --SeekingOne 20:44, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello SeekingOne! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 710 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
