This template is used in MediaWiki:Noarticletext, MediaWiki:Noarticletext-nopermission, and MediaWiki:Nocreatetext. Changes to it can cause immediate changes to the Wikipedia user interface. This template is used in the system messages MediaWiki:Noarticletext, MediaWiki:Noarticletext-nopermission, and MediaWiki:Nocreatetext to display the message when a non-existent page is entered. The output depends on the type of page (article, template, talk page, etc.) and whether the user has the right to create the page or not.
Note that non-autoconfirmed logged-in users see WP:New user landing page in some situations instead.
Usage
The template has an optional parameter |nopermission=
to adjust the output when the user does not have permission to create the page.
