[edit]Hey, just thought I'd point you in the direction of a new category I created: Category:Wikipedians in Osaka. Figured there might be enough Wikipedians living in Osaka to make it worthwhile. --Brad Beattie (talk) 03:42, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Category sorting
[edit]Hi, I've noticed that you've done a lot of work on Kansai rail articles, but I wanted to let you know that you don't need to add article names to end of categories, like you did for Tennoji Station, i.e. adding "|Amagasaki" to [[Category:Railway stations in Hyogo Prefecture]].
The only time you use this is when you want the article sorted with a word other than the article name, i.e. you want Shunsuke Nakamura sorted under "Nakamura", not "Shunsuke", or the title has macrons, i.e. Tennōji Station. For most non-people, you don't need to do this.
Hope that made sense, thanks for your work. Ytny (talk) 15:39, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Tag
[edit]Thanx for your contributions on Japanese private railways. Please use line break tag <br /> (with space then slash), instead of <br> that you are using. It should be due to HTML version Wikipedia using, but I am not able to show you appropriate page, sorry. --Maxima m 09:07, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Railway route diagrams
[edit]Hi, Tigers boy (of Hanshin Tigers?). I am now translating/transplanting route diagrams to JAWP, some of your contributions in ENWP removed. The reason is not yours, but insufficiencies of icon appearances and sets. Your understanding will be welcomed. The purpose is to acceptabilities for JAWP contributors, just for temporal modification.
- ELEV removed: icon set incomplete (missings, such as crossing both elevated), sometimes misleading, and tracks removed before elevation are impossible to show.
- UKRZ, Turn icons removed: appearances doubutful, tunnel track may goes on bridge and station on lower track doubutful --Maxima m (talk) 04:03, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
--Maxima m (talk) 04:03, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Tigers boy! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 8 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Shinjiro Hiyama - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Takahiro Shoda - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Kodai Sakurai - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 17:53, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
addition to {{Infobox city Japan}}
[edit]Because of the way {{Infobox settlement}} is coded, adding a coordinates_type parameter removes the region code from the coordinates, making them less useful. The default value for coordinates_type actually works better, so I'd like to revert this change. Okay? —Stepheng3 (talk) 20:17, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Image wish from de.wp
[edit]Dear Tigers boy, on de.wp, someone is looking for a picture of this mast over a road at 36°21′16.16″N 140°22′17.86″E / 36.3544889°N 140.3716278°E near Uchihara/Ibaraki. Since you seem to live in the same prefecture, I was wondering, if you might be able to take such a picture or know someone, that could do it? Sorry for bothering you. Regards, --Flominator (talk) 15:01, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
Marking edits as "minor"
[edit]Hi. Thanks for all your improvements to Japanese rail articles. One point though - all of your edits are marked as "minor" even when they add large amounts of new material. You might want to check your preferences ("My preferences" at the top of the screen) to see if you haven't set this to the default setting. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 11:11, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi again. Did you not see the note above I wrote a couple of days back? You still seem to be marking all of your edits as "minor" by default, yet this edit added a lot of material and is hardly minor. Once again, I would politely ask you to check your default settings and please also make the effort to include an edit summary when you change or add material. Thanks for your cooperation. --DAJF (talk) 15:03, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- I thought that they were not so large edits and I did not realized that map changing was a large edit. - Tigers boy (talk) 16:27, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Overlinking on Osaka Subway articles
[edit]Hi again. Could you please explain why you think it is necessary to re-add both the operator names and line names to all the Osaka Subway articles (such as here, here, and here)? This makes things unnecessarily bulky and does not appear overly helpful to the reader. Awaiting your comments. --DAJF (talk) 15:26, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- I thought that it shows what company operates the lines except the Osaka Municipal Subway lines, based on the articles in Japanese (such as here). This would be helpful, but I am so sorry if I made the articles bother readers. -- Tigers boy (talk) 16:22, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Fukuchiyama Station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kounotori (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
