[edit]If anybody has anything to add to this description, truly do so, I probably don't know everything about Lugia Oca 13:14, 29 Oct 2003 (UTC)
"Luz" (light) and "Rugía" (Roared)
[edit]Much as I believe in using the real (Japanese) name for pokémon, or at least making sure to put them in the articles, it seems a bit odd to distinguish 'rugia' from 'lugia' since -they- wouldn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.245.29.229 (talk) 06:22, 5 December 2004
- Blending words together is a common methos of forming words and names. But Light Roar? The tone of the article sounds unsure as to whether this is true.Sonic Mew 17:55, May 20, 2005 (UTC)
- Especially since Lugia is associated with nighttime (remember the title screen?) and possibly the moon - I'd go into the whole Silver/Moon, Gold/Sun thing, but I'm just hoping most people get it. But yeah, I was wondering why that would be there too. I think most of the speculative name associations should be taken out, and left only with the most likely possibilities. - All "Lugia" is is the English pronounciation of "Rugia." Japanese switches "L" for "R" and the change is usually reversed in English (sometimes causing confusion, such as in the case of Dr. Right/Light). --Yeah, it's me again. 21:36, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Rivarly with Ho-Oh Removed
[edit]There is none. Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal gave a lot of back story to those two legendary Pokemon. I suggest before adding something as incoherent as that without knowing prior knowledge to the topic at hand to DO some research and play the game to understand it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.44.86.202 (talk) 20:49, 27 September 2006
- Whoever put that must have been confused Ho-Oh and Lugia with Groudon and Kyogre seeing as they have a rivarly. -Fear teh Happy! 16:08, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
ok... which episode were you referring to with the error in dubbing? (spoilers)
[edit]ok, under your anime section: it says something like this after the episodes it has appeared in...
"An interesting fact to note here is that Ash (& James) acknowledges that he had last met a Lugia in the Orange Islands in its appearance in Pokémon: 2000, whereas in a different episode starring Articuno (or Furiza in Japanese), Ash did not know that it existed, despite him seeing Articuno with Zapdos and Moltress battling Lugia in the same movie. This is attributed to an error in dubbing."
The part about the dubbing error was what confused me, since whoever posted it didn't specify what episode they were referring to. And I thought that the part involving Articuno was the dubbing error because both Ash and James said they encountered Lugia in the original (at least from what I heard, and I hoped that James Lugia reference was in the original.) so can you specify what you were referring to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.32.164.152 (talk) 20:35, 19 October 2006
Stats
[edit]The page refers to Rugia as having 680 total stats.... Two questions:
1) Is this base or level 100? And if it's level 100, what type of nature (hindering, neutral, beneficial) is it? 2) Is the total with no EVs and IVs or are both maxed out? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Missingno000 (talk • contribs) 22:27, 20 February 2007 (UTC).
I can somewhat answer the number 2 question because I have trained a Lugia to level 100 without the EVs and IVs maxed out, and its highest stat was only a little bit near 380, so if it can reach 680 it will probably require maxed out EVs and/or IVs, although whether it can is still up for debate. Ok, that shouldn't be in there.
[edit]I've noticed that someone randomly placed a sentence that says "pedro is sexy..." in this article. I believe that this is vandalism and should be removed from the article.24.111.137.236 03:34, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Anonymous.
Two small edits...
[edit]For one thing, I don't think that it's necessary to mention Lugia's shiny colors (it's somewhat insignificant to me, Shiny Pokemon were only "better" in G/S/C). Second, Shadow Lugia's description said that it was speculated to return in GBA/DS games, and was proven to be in Red Rescue Team, which is false. So I removed both of these things. If anyone wants Lugia's shiny colors to be mentioned, by all means, change it back. It just didn't seem that important to me. Teamrocketspy621 17:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Lugia's things

Cleaned up a bit
[edit]I cleaned up a small amount of In the video games section beacause it overused the word "and" so I threw in some commas and took out some and's. Also added its colors in the biological carachteristics for the color-blind. Hope it helps!^^ -I PWN U ALL 15:57, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
???
[edit]Something happened to the template at the edge of the page, and I don't know how to fix it. Could someone who knows how fix this please? Oh, and also, someone changed Lugia's types to Fire and Dragon, so it may have been vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.195.74.75 (talk) 12:42, 8 July 2007
