Re: subcategory (2005)
[edit]This should not be a subcat of Category:Queen consorts since Christina of Sweden and Ulrike Eleonora of Sweden were Queen regnant. Joestynes 02:49, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)
List complete today!
[edit]I have checked on this category page, worked it over properly and can now announce the good news that an article for each and every legitimate (officially recognized) Swedish queen from Sigrid the Haughty and/or Gunhild of Wenden till today is included. The bad news is the big mess with so many different name formats. There should be some serious attention given to this in the near future and some changes made to a number of article names, so that a list like this will make (much) more sense. I will try to submit some suggestions soon. Many of the articles still need a lot of work in the meantime. SergeWoodzing (talk) 02:48, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Royalty is a sub-cat of nobility
[edit]Royalty is a aub-cat of nobility. So royals can be plaved in noble categories where there is not a relevant royals category.John Pack Lambert (talk) 12:41, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Royalty and nobility are 2 disctinctly different subjects and cannot be inter-categorized under any circumstances - please learn the difference! Apples are not eggs. Royalty is not nobility. Flutes are not violins. Nobility is not royalty. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 09:39, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- The line between nobility and royalty is often quit fuzzy. This is an issue that needs measured discussion not accusations. In England many a Duke of York was the child on a king.John Pack Lambert (talk) 11:13, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Duke of York (etc) is a royal title when conferred upon a royal prince. Members if a royal family are not nobility which ranks under royalty. Royalty creates nobility and is never a part of it. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 06:07, 20 August 2024 (UTC)

Royalty is no longer a sub-category of nobility
[edit]It never should have been. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 09:41, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
