missing filmhi I just watched Welcome to the Jungle (2003) film co staring Seann but it’s missing from his list of films. I’m not confident to edit the wiki page though

Cite sources, please

[edit]

I don't understand why uncited information and a vague citation of "People Magazine" are valid sources for an encyclopedia entry, but comments made by the person referenced in the article during a verbal interview are not. In the very least, the "Personal Life" section should be removed until specific citations are entered verifying its validity.M0unds 06:58, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the given reference, SWS did not say "Wikipedia sucks", but "These other jobs sucks" (he was speaking about jobs he did before 'making films'). It is exactly at the end of the video extract. --74.58.74.112 20:42, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually he did say "Wikipedia sucks", they were talking about the above mentioned "People Magazine" entries that once appeared on this page. Please don't try to quote something you didn't hear. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.82.17.147 (talk) 18:07, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, supply the EXACT reference then. The 'reference previously supplied' was about an interview, on video, that someone supplied as a proof that SWS said "wikipedia sucks", and, as I pointed out, he didn't, in that then-supplied reference. Again, if you have a reference, supply it, else, it is only a hear-say. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.58.74.112 (talk) 15:18, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple UNDO on exterior link(s)

[edit]

Seems there is some vandalism or misunderstanding going on about exterior links. I removed one that was unrelated and since then, have to undo other link removal of a valid link (seannscott.net) on multiple occasions. Vandalism or fighting against an user wanting to push his (her) unrelated link?

To be clear, in case some confusion is the problem:

I removed http://jacksonme.livejournal.com

while http://seanscott.net is valid

That last reference is sometimes vandalized to seannwscott.net, which is dead (not existing). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.58.74.112 (talk) 19:33, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The http://seanscott.net site is not a personal site, it is made of contributions by many persons, supplying related materials, and free of access.

Darwinek, can you READ?

[edit]

Hey, you asked for details and I supplied them, right here, up, there, but it seems you never read it. So, to make it clear:

I removed an unrelated link, then after I did that, I spot that another EXISTING link was dead/corrupted, I modified it.

Then, someone did remove that link too! I re-insert it, you remove it, I re-insert it, your removed it, asking reasons, *** I SUPPLIED THE REASONS***, but from all evidence, you NEVER READ THEM!

Does that mean you will bann ANYONE who will try to re-insert that LEGITIMATE link? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.228.178.102 (talk) 23:27, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And when you say: "Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia." In AFTER HOW MUCH TIME could we be able to re-insert the legitimate link? Have you an answer to that? Do YOU READ what you ASK US to write? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.228.178.102 (talk) 23:31, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Weight gain.

[edit]

I'm not sure whether this should be included in the article, but is it me or is Seann William Scott gaining weight and fast? Now what I wondered was whether it's for a particular role or whether it's a lifestyle choice. Also I have heard about the death of his father and the leukemia of his mother? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it could be a bout of depression though this is merely speculation moreover it's rumoured that Seann will reprise the role of Stifler and if I remember correctly during the production of American pie the wedding, Seann wanted to gain weight and make his character fatter. That could be what he's be doing for American pie 4, unlikely because it's not even being filmed yet. If anyone could clarify or provide me with an answer for the sudden weight gain, it would be most appreciated, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The-do-right-man (talkcontribs) 22:24, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the rehab thing, I think its worth mentioning -- whatever he's in rehab for probably caused his weight gain. I mean, he got RIPPED (remember that magazine spread with him laying around in the camper?) for a couple shitty movie roles, and he was slim in the role everyone remembers him for (American Pie), so his appearing on Leno/Kimmel/whatever it was in late 2010 and being downright chubby was alarming, he even addressed it on the show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fX-T1iw5ls Aaaah! :| --98.232.180.170 (talk) 03:48, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Atypical opening blurb

[edit]

Is it typical to put the gross earnings of films in the opening paragraph of an actor's page? The books of the hiring studios seems distant from the subject of acting, especially for the "bonus context sentence" that occurs on every actor page. 4b isn't even especially notable. A random actor's (Philip Seymour Hoffman) blurb for a perspective "bonus context sentence": "He was voted one of the 50 greatest actors of all time in a 2022 readers' poll by Empire magazine".

Or maybe we could just drop the bonus-context-sentence? Seems to always be over-editorializing.

I'd make the edit myself but you know how wkp is. Instant reversion! Cnkso (talk) 04:23, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
