Location of San Theodoros
[edit]On the first page of (the English version of) Tintin and the Picaros, Captain Haddock reads: "Opera star Bianca Castafiore continues her brilliant progress through South America. After triumphs in Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela, she visits San Theodoros, where she will be received by General Tapoica." As Castafiore is progressing eastwards across the northern part of the continent, it seems likely that San Theodoros (along with its neighbour Nuevo Rico, which if I remember correctly from Tintin and the Broken Ear is also a maritime nation) should be placed on the coastal border between Venezuela and Guyana (British Guiana before 1966). Does that sound reasonable? Opera hat 16:40, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
English Arumbaya
[edit]I heard that the English Arumbaya was "completely phonetic Cockney". I should find a source, though. I think you could find it on some English fansite. 惑乱 分からん * \)/ (\ (< \) (2 /) /)/ * (talk) 15:07, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Nuevo-Rico
[edit]What does everyone think about creating a page for Nuevo-Rico. It appears in Tintin and the Broken Ear. Iudaeus (talk) 20:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
