Jan 24, 2000 versions
[edit]I just added the 7-track version. I'd rather not link to commercial websites as a reference on the article, so for verification, here are the product listings with 7 tracks:

Intro to The Village
[edit]I just noticed that if you play the orginal cd version of Power, Corruption and Lies enough times there is about a 20-30 second intro to The Village starting right at the very end of We All Stand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.182.117.77 (talk) 01:59, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
So, about the music ...
[edit]Considering it's an album, mentioning the music might be nice - David Gerard (talk) 12:18, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Original Fantin-Latour painting
[edit]The painting would be well into the public domain by Wikimedia Commons rules - is there a good, clear image of the original painting that an American could please upload? - David Gerard (talk) 12:28, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
I second this idea! Joeletaylor (talk) 07:22, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Supreme's 2013 "PCL" collection
[edit]Hey you guys!
I'm both a fan of this record and of the clothing label Supreme. Under the section pertaining to the cover art, I added that Supreme used the floral motif in an immensely successful clothing line in 2013. Including pairs of Vans "Era" and "Sk8 High" and a skateboard deck in the floral motif, the collection was immensely successful and remains highly sought after among collectors -- on eBay pieces from the collection fetch extraordinary prices. Perhaps this information belongs in a different section, perhaps an independent section, but it belongs on the page given its social and cultural impact -- it was one of the most successful collections ever launched in street-wear. PLEASE contact me if you take issue -- don't just delete it outright because you're unfamiliar with Supreme and/or street-fashion and thus cannot judge its importance or relevance. Thank you Joeletaylor (talk) 07:21, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Title "Power, Corruption, and Lies"
[edit]It should also be noted that the term "power, corruption and lies, was very much associated with Communism and totalitarian regimes, which was hot issue until communism fell. Its also associated with the ideas in George Orwell's 1984. Title The title of the album was chosen by Bernard Sumner from a 1981 conceptual art exhibition in Cologne, Germany. On the opening night of the exhibition the artist Gerhard Richter vandalised the exterior of the Kunsthalle by spray painting the text, "Power, Corruption, and Lies".Starbwoy (talk) 23:45, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

Spelling mistake
[edit]I'm watching "Record On: New Order", S1E2, on Sky Arts. Talking about this album, cover designer Peter Saville reveals that there is a spelling mistake in the colour coding, "ironically in the word 'corruption'."
