Charles William Fitzwilliam

[edit]

Dear Andrew,

You edited a page on wiki about CW Fitzwilliam Viscount Milton. I am trying to find out more information about his children. I was wondering if you could tell me what your sources of information were when you wrote your article? 89.240.132.87 (talk) 22:55, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's been a while so I can't be sure, but I don't think there was anything I used that isn't footnoted there.
He will get an entry in the 1832-68 History of Parliament volume, though that is still in draft and I don't know if they will have written his entry yet. You could try contacting them to ask if they have any information? Andrew Gray (talk) 23:59, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just checked - he has a single para in Who's Who of British MPs, vol 1 - mentions that he married in 1833 to "Selina, 2nd d. of Charles 3rd Earl of Liverpool" but the entries there do not normally mention children.
Digging around WP finds that Charles Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, 5th Earl Fitzwilliam - his father's article - mentions one surviving daughter and a stillborn son. The reference for those is Burke's so you could see if that has further information. Andrew Gray (talk) 20:08, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
