page formatting
[edit]i dont' want images and boxes to overlap into other sections because the sections are too small. i put in a bunch of white space between sections with images to stop them from overlapping but i don't think its the proper way. here are some pages i recently edited and added white space.. if anyone knows the proper way to stop images from overlapping from section to the other please fix it or tell me how: saddleback college, san francisco state university, golden gate university, golden gate university school of law. to see what i'm talking about...look up the schools in the search box and look at how i did the formatting under "edit this page"
missing information
[edit]this article doesn't describe how to link to an article while making the text different--24.6.185.253 (talk) 10:52, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- I think you have to use HTML code to alter text, bold, colour, etc. Just do a search engine search for "HTML code" and you'll find some answers. Nick carson (talk) 10:40, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Adding References
[edit]I have just given up trying to edit an article, because I could not find a suitably simple guide to link a newspaper article that was a reference to the detail I was providing. I tried to copy another similar edit but was unsuccesful. I will be helped to be given a link to a simple "how to do it" instruction please. Stranger on the shore (talk) 20:49, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- Just start with the basics, a good way to learn this sort of stuff is to just click 'edit this page' in any article and sneak a peak at how the references are done behind the scenes. Copy/paste also helps. Nick carson (talk) 12:10, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
