Preparing to Add to Language Section
[edit]Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a post informing any interested party that I am planning on making some contributions to the language section of the Culture of Japan page. I intend to add a statement on Ainu and Ryukyuan languages referencing both the following articles:
Pellard, Thomas (2015-02-17), "1. The Linguistic archeology of the Ryukyu Islands", 1. The Linguistic archeology of the Ryukyu Islands, De Gruyter Mouton, p. 13, doi:10.1515/9781614511151.13, ISBN 978-1-61451-115-1, retrieved 2023-10-25
Shiraishi, Hidetoshi (January 2022). "Ainu: An urban-rural indigenous language of the north". Oxford Academic. doi:10.1093/oso/9780198856610.003.0007. Retrieved 2023-10-25.

Preparing to edit Music section
[edit]Hi everybody, I also wanted to post to inform anyone interested that I'm planning on contributing and editing the Music section of this Culture of Japan article. As a rough plan, I intend to:
-add citations where needed
-add a paragraph about origins, history, and influences
-involve both instrument names as well as artists both historical and contemporary
-verify and add to current popular music info.
Some of the sources I will be drawing from are as follows:
