Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was disambiguate and keep
Article created in Jan 2003, and now consists of an unexplained list of inexplicably connected wiki links. No explanation at all. No encyclopedic content at all. David Thrale 22:06, 5 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Weird. Maybe it's intended to be a disambiguation page for Viennese schools of philosophy. The title certainly isn't useful. Neutral for now. - Lucky 6.9 22:12, 5 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Turn into disambiguation page (with appropriate content); disambiguate the half dozen or so articles that point here. -- Jmabel 03:13, Jul 6, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete if nobody turns it into a real article. -- Cyrius|✎ 04:57, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- There is a "Second Viennese School" of the people who spoilt concert music in the twentieth century. The name "First Viennese School" is sometimes given to Mozart, Haydn, etc. I added a disambiguation text about these two groups. The term is not entirely meaningless, and needs some kind of entry. - Send to cleanup - If it doesn't get fixed there return it here for deletion - Tεxτurε 17:22, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- FWIW, the content of List of Austrian intellectual traditions appears to be substantially identical to the page at issue, and Austrian intellectual traditions
redirectsto it. This page should be merged with this one. Smerdis of Tlön 01:25, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)- Strike-thru just above is bcz it links, and has never been a redirect. The markup content is completely identical, and the renderings differ only bcz the identical markup produces a self-link in one case. Both were created by User:GrandVoivodOfErdely one minute apart. --Jerzy(t) 18:23, 2004 Jul 7 (UTC)
- This process is abt the page, not the editor, but some may wish to consider the source: User talk:GrandVoivodOfErdely still exists, but the user page cited above, running abt 25k char of mostly links, was deleted after about 130 edits and 8 months in, i think, Sept or Jan. --Jerzy(t) 18:23, 2004 Jul 7 (UTC)

- Turn into disambiguation page. Both the first and second schools are legit and it's quite possible that some people will search for just "Viennese School." And don't consider me biased just because I'm writing from Vienna! newkai 11:26, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- KP w/ prej as dab & send to WP:CU. That is: it is already good enough to keep, so CU entry should not suggest sending it back to VfD, and "recently decided on VfD to keep" should be a compelling arguement in itself if it returns here; goal should be to have it be a thorough disambig page; cleanup or peer review may be a good place to work out how broad a school this is: music, perhaps philosophy, and a former V. resident said to me "Not sure. I think it may be about art and/or architecture." --Jerzy(t) 18:23, 2004 Jul 7 (UTC)
