hello
[edit]I just read your MetaWiki profile and it said that you are studying to become a translator. I am currently a college student in Vermont and before the current term began, I had aspirations of becomeing a translator, interpreter, or another occupation in the field of languages. What advice would you give to me? JB82 00:58, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Event broker
[edit]Hi! I aspire to become a translator but am working as a reporter. How do you say event broker(an integral part of an OS)? I 've researched dictionaries and the web. Thanks .--Jondel 04:47, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

A few phrases from es:Ignacio Zuloaga->en:Ignacio Zuloaga ...
[edit]Hi Florencia.
I find myself in need of assistance to nail down the exact meaning or way the following are used in the article es:Ignacio Zuloaga. I also posted these questions in the Spanish Wikipedia "Zuloaga" Talk article, with perhaps a little more detail from me. There's a draft in my Sandbox for my translation so far. Here are the terms.
- Casa de Crimen
- Canonjia
- tío y sobrino (literal or figurative?)
- cartón piedra (same as "carton and plaster"?)
- elaboración de bodegones (planning/design/development of taverns?)

Request for assistance
[edit]Hello, my name is Ian, and I would like to ask for your assistance in translating two wikipedia pages into Spanish. I don't know if you are willing or able to take on requests such as this at this time, so please let me know. The two pages I would like your help in are Kemetic Orthodoxy and Tamara Siuda. Both pages had been translated previously, but were overhauled recently, so the Spanish pages no longer match.
I hope to hear back from you either way. - IanCheesman (talk) 05:50, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Rmflorencia. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Rmflorencia~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
