Genshi, a.k.a. jido-genshi, is the pseudonym for a Los Angeles based experimental electronic musician and music technologist. Currently experimenting with the Max/MSP environment, and with writing credits for the Ableton Live 4 CSi Master CD-ROM tutorial under his real name, this writer, composer, producer, web designer, amateur programmer and photographer spends his free time (or what little of it he has) exploring architecture, robotics, nanotechnology, philosophy and social engineering, cryptography and encryption, ancient secrets and mythologies as well as foreign languages and cultures.

The name jido-genshi is Japanese for "automatic-atom" and was created as a handle in the early 1990s for use online when Genshi was exploring the world of Battletech.
