NPD is the French acronym for NDP (New Democratic Party). But this acronym is never used in English.
But for every English acronym, there's a different French acronym (or Spanish acronym, etc). For instance the French acronym for NHL is LNH, the French acronym for KFC is PFK (Poulet frit Kentucky) (in Quebec anyway). It makes no sense to list these, because they're not used in English.
There are some foreign-language acronyms that are used in English, for instance FIFA or FARC. But foreign-language acronyms that are used only in that foreign language and not in English are not suitable for inclusion here... there would be thousands and thousands of them, one for each foreign language for each acronym.

NPD is not an acronym for the former GDR party "National Democratic Party of Germany", the acronym is NDPD.
please also include "nasal potential difference", a method to measure electrolyt flux via epithelial ion channels.
