is there such thing as philosophical logic?
[edit]I fail to see a disticntion between logic in general and Philosophical logic. Given examples have ample implementation in mathematics or have nothing to do with logic. for example the concept of a priori is known in math as axiomatiozation(axioms are assumed to be self-evident or a priori). dialetheists i belie is used in quantum mechanics where a particle can be in two states simultaniousely. General Semantics is not logic by any stretch of imagination...
So why does this category exists?
- I fundamentally agree. In the same regard as "philosophical ethics" and "philosophical aesthetics," it makes no sense conceptually. However, the reality is that the logic articles in Wikipedia are edited primarily by mathematicians. This "distinction" arises out of this political reality.Pontiff Greg Bard (talk) 00:12, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
