WikiProject Philippine LGUs

[edit]

Wondering how to edit the article? The WikiProject Philippine LGUs could be of help. :)

Spaniards discovered Mindoro huh?

[edit]

Mindoro was discovered by the Spaniards in the 16th century, and was initially administered as part of Batangas. The island gained full provincehood in 1921. In 1950, the island was divided into the provinces of Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro.

Im changing the word "discovered" because those Spaniards didnt discover the island when it was already discovered by other people

Ah yes, of course. :) Coffee 16:25, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kamangyan huh?

[edit]

There is no such language as Kamangyan in the province of Oriental Mindoro and as far as I know, there is no such dialect in the Philippines as a whole. If you are referring to Mindoro's languages, it should be the Mangyan dialect. Renante Beron (talk) 06:21, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article is needed to be revised

[edit]

the FAMOUS section and the newly elected officials doesn't need to be there.

How to compare Population

[edit]

The National Statistics Office lists the population of Puerto Princesa City separate from the Palawan population totals. In making comparisons between provincial LGUs, should the population of HUCs be included? Shinjimikhael (talk) 18:08, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
