The word 'countersteering' in the article was linked to the article on countersteering. However, that article refers to a meaning of the word countersteering that is exclusive to motorcycle steering and bicycle steering.

Maybe a disambiguation is necessary, because in 4-wheel vehicle steering the word 'countersteering' is in wide use too. In the case of 4-wheel vehicle steering, 'countersteering' refers to either a slide of the vehicle that is controlled from the beginning, or to the steering necessary to regain control of a vehicle that has unexpectedly started to slide. If the rear end of the vehicle has broken out, the front wheels must be kept pointing in the direction of motion. I have never heard of countersteering applied correctly to 4-wheeled vehicles. In fact, I believe this is a fallacy perpetuated by articles such as this one. "Powerslide" is usually the term I hear when I envision the rear wheels sliding out. -Phil
