400 wins
[edit]Trotz officially has 400 wins with the Preds (7th most wins by a coach with a single team) as of March 2010; Im not sure so if someone else could confirm, but he has to also have the most wins as the first coach of a team by now...and probably the most sucessful coach of an expansion team in that regard. Im a bit drunk now and watching the Preds play an elite team and just so amazed by this man. So peace out wikipedia. Do my edits for me when I get some confirmation on these things (please!). Trotz for JACK ADAMS! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.18.209.43 (talk) 05:27, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]This page was vandalized on April 25, 2011 with the following content:
Upon his birth in 1962, it was noticed that Trotz had a rare disorder, where his neck was completely absent. Fortunately, the esophagus and all vocal and digestive tissue was found to be present, so the lack of neck did not present any medical issues. At the age of 2, a neck implant was attempted, but the surgery failed. Trotz learned to manage his disability and is now considered to be "fully functional" by medical professionals.
Although hilarious, it's unattributed and likely false; the user responsible hails from a Vanderbilt University network, so it's probably just a prank by a local proud of the Predators' showing in the Stanley Cup playoffs... --Joelmoses 2000 (talk) 21:12, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Citizenship
[edit]Trotz became a naturalized American citizen late in his tenure with the Predators. Someone with a source needs to add this fact and perhaps then change the intro to "Barry Trotz is a Canadian-American ice hockey coach..." 2600:1004:B12F:8AAB:0:36:F923:9301 (talk) 16:42, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- The only source that I can find is this, but it does not say whether he became a U.S. citizen. – Sabbatino (talk) 17:25, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
