[edit]

Hi! Caught you via your comment on Talk:John Morgan (comedian). You should consider adding your name to and watching the fray at the Wikipedia:Canadian wikipedians' notice board. Cheers! Samaritan 23:54, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

language tags

[edit]

I saw on Category_talk:User_en-N that you are interested in learning how to use the language tags. Apparently, the system is described at Wikipedia:Babel Yours, -- Jon Dowland 15:40, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you want your language tags to appear stacked on the right side of your user page, add {{Babel-2|en|fr-3}} to your user page. -- Reinyday

I dont' know if you are still active but I just got active on the Crohn's article and saw your post about pregnancy. I think that it's a good idea to set up a title for pregnancy. There is a lot of information about it and I know a lot of people have questions about CD and pregnancy including the use of medications. If you are still active on Wikipedia, please drop me a comment on my talk page. Thanks, --CrohnieGalTalk 20:23, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi nice to hear from you. I'm sorry though, what information did I supply to help you talk to your dr about? I have been working the article as my disease allows but I don't remember getting to pregnancy yet. If you really want some info though about pregnancy, Crohn's and esp. medicine use go to [http//www.ccfa.org] I've been a member there since 2002 which is after diagnosis, and my first surgery, and learning about them. They help me a lot about learning new things going on towards the help of Crohn's disease. Also, I've found this one [1] helpful. If I can help at all, please don't hesitate to either drop me a note on my talk page or even an email (my email is activated on my talk page). Good luck with the new little one and enjoy. I am begging already for grandchildren! :) --CrohnieGalTalk 12:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I worked on the article a bit yesterday. I put in a title about Crohn's and Pregnancy but I haven't gotten aroud to adding to it yet. I have to find the citations and then write it up. If you feel like it please join in at the article. I can use all the help I can get! :) Also, look at my comments about this on the talk page. --CrohnieGalTalk 14:52, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Westendgirl! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 7 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Conflicted licensing on image File:BillyCoutu.JPG

The above noted image or media file appears to have conflicted licensing. As an image cannot be both 'free' and 'unfree', a check of the exact status of this media/image concerned is advised.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:32, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:BillyCoutu.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BillyCoutu.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 06:11, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bite, snack and meal, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Content and Summary. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

About adding biographies of Canadian women

[edit]

Hello Westendgirl, thank you for your contributions. I am a contributor to the French version of Wikipedia and I just discovered that you recently created an article about Emma Gaudreau Casgrain that is unknown in Quebec. You also created the article about her husband, Henri-Edmond Casgrain, little known too. I will do the French version of these two biographies. I will also write that of Victoria Cartier that you created.

I also read that you are currently working on biographies of Canadian women and that you have a good command of French. Several of these biographies are not yet on the English version of the encyclopedia. I realized some of them for the French version that you could resume for the English version without having to do the research for the sources.

With articles on Harriet Brooks, Margaret Newton, Ursula Franklin, and Véronique Morin, who already exists for the English version, I wrote other biographies of Canadian women that could be included in the English version. Anne Marcotte, Cora Tsouflidou, Louise Champoux-Paillé and Renée Hudon among others. If you read French, you will see why I created their biographies. Since there are still a huge number of articles to be created for the French version, I do not have time to translate them for the English version. So help would be welcome! Regards.--Stefanos Stefanos (talk) 22:31, 18 February 2017 (UTC)Stefanos Stefanos Discussion utilisateur:Stefanos Stefanos|discuter[reply]

References

[edit]

Please take the trouble to add proper references rather than bare URLs as you did at Pat John. You're not a new editor who doesn't know any better, and it's time you started to add acceptable references. If you don't know how to format a reference, please see Wikipedia:Citing sources, Help:Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor/1, etc. Basically, what is shown to the reader should be enough for them to see what the source is so that they can see what kind of a source it is (official? blog?) and so that they could find it again even if the URL changes (as often happens with websites). Please also take care to check existing references - the source you added was already listed as a reference, so we could re-use it rather than add it again. I've tided up after you here, but please take more care. Thanks. PamD 07:28, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, as well as St. Augustine's Indian Residential School I've now started tems swiya Museum, and added a section on log salvage to Beachcombing, all from stub-sorting Pat John. Must now get on with some Real Life stuff. PamD 12:18, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it’s because I’m on a phone but I cannot get the system to prompt me with the tags. I only seem to have access when I’m at a desktop, which isn’t most of the time. Westendgirl (talk) 03:41, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
