Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Minnesota State University Mankato riot
Appearance
Non-notable event that doesn't meet standard of having an encyclopdia entry. It had no deaths, was not famous (in the field of higher education/social science or otherwise) and apparently had no lasting effect of importance. It's not any different from thousands of riots that go without mention ever again shortly after. DreamGuy 03:46, Dec 5, 2004 (UTC)

- Delete: Not a particularly notable riot (not that they should try harder), but it was, I'm sure, huge news in Mankato, which is not a city known for big goings on. (I really enjoyed the city when I visited, but it was deep December, 4' of snow on the ground, and Mankato was the only place with shopping near St. Peter.) Geogre 15:06, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. I've been to a number of more intersting riots than this one and they're not listed on Wiki, nor should they be. Wyss 19:25, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Riots are fascinating events that always at least locally notable, and they can tell a great deal about a society. Everyking 20:49, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Delete - U-Michigan has had several riots of more note than this. Perhaps the article originator could include it on the MSU-Mankato page instead. A2Kafir 22:57, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- My school riots (fairly violently sometimes, too) every Saturday that there's a home football game, whether we win or lose. Of course, we also throw tortillas at sporting events, so go figure. A riot for rioting's sake is just an oversized party that happens to be outside the building. Delete. Inky 00:28, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Delete Worthless. There are college riots all the time and even if there is, there is nothing special about it [[User:Squash|Squash (Talk)]] 09:58, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
