Anonymous correction of birthday is apparently correct: the Philadelphia Daily News announced a celebration of his 80th birthday in July 2004. -- Jmabel | Talk 07:25, Nov 5, 2004 (UTC)

"Stone picked up many honors and awards along the way," writes Thomas Sowell in his obituary, "but perhaps the greatest honor was that accorded him by a foundation president who said simply, 'people trust Chuck'."

The black economist continues: " 'Before there were food stamps,' [Chuck] said, 'people fed their families. Before there was federal aid to education, black kids went to college.' As for 'black English,' he called it a 'cop out' from rigorous standards.

"We shall not see his like again. And never was someone like him more needed." Asteriks (talk) 15:12, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

He's not listed as a Tuskegee Airman pilot: [1] and doesn't seem to feature in any books about them. Mztourist (talk) 08:02, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
