Sports teams in Kitsap
[edit]I need to add a section about the Blue Jackets baseball team and the Slaughter County Roller Vixens rollerderby league. --8bitJake (talk) 19:01, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Neighboring Counties
[edit]Clallam county is a neighboring county, which is where the novel to be movie Twilight Was filmed 08. Author Stephanie Meyer has published 4 books since 2005 and plans for a 5th book to add to her series. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.100.156.137 (talk) 06:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Not relevant to this article. It's not notable to be a neighboring county of where a book series is set. And on a side note, it was set in and around Forks, but that's not where the movie was filmed. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 17:24, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Kitsap has a history...doesn't it?
[edit]At the time I post this, the History section of the article reads as follows:
"Kitsap County was organized in 1857."
I've lived in Kitsap for seven years, and while it's a relatively boring place, there is a lot more to its history than "It began, the end." Bremerton was a major shipyard in World War II (I'm told one aircraft carrier was finished each day for three years); the Supreme Court case Oliphant v. Suquamish was decisive in the limitations of American Indian autonomy nationwide; Poulsbo was originally a Norweigan settlement, and English didn't catch on until the 1950's.
Obviously more research needs to be done--we've got a county historical museum somewhere--but is there any reason this kind of material shouldn't be in the article? DerekMBarnes (talk) 21:17, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
