Guess the important stuff for this venue is "Why should my contributions be regarded as credible?" Funny I should ask... Anyway, the main item is that I read a lot, over 50 books a year since childhood. (Well, actually more than that back then.) These days many of the books are Japanese, however, which increases the difficulty points. I have two degrees, with completed majors in sociology, history, philosophy, and computer science. The major I most wish I had completed was mathematics, but that's a different not-so-funny story. Have lived in Japan for many years, and regard myself as a permanent resident.
As regards Wikipedia, I feel like commenting on the fundamental problem I perceive with the current implementation. Altruism is a relatively weak motivation for contributing. Sure, I will probably take the time to correct an obvious mistake if I happen to read it, and I'm glad to be of service. However, what if that mistake is deliberate? Someone who has an ulterior motive may have needed to get some credibility for that error, at least for a bit. Wikipedia built up quite a bit of credibility, but now that credibility has become something the scammers and spammers seek to exploit for their greedy profit.
Back again, eh? The previous comments were dated about 5 years ago, so it obviously this page didn't make much of an impression on me at the time, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's another 5 years until my next visit... The main thing I noticed this time was that another tab said my history consists of only THREE edits. Excuse me, but that's ridiculously low. Okay, my edits are usually trivial grammatical changes, but there were far more than three of them. Mostly makes my skeptical of the accuracy of Wikipedia. Yes, minor data, but I KNOW the reality and this is clearly inaccurate. What else is wrong? Of course I'm basically lazy and I'll continue using Wikipedia for its convenience, but with a bigger grain of salt... Shanen (talk) 00:13, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Oh yeah, I see that I forgot to say why I stopped by. I wanted to find a corresponding Japanese page for some new information, and the Japanese version hadn't been created yet. Therefore I started digging around in the Wikipedia system trying to see if there was some way to encourage its creation, and at some point I wound up over here. Also not encouraging... Wikipedia is run by censorious and narrow-minded morons and Wikipedia should not be trusted as far as you can throw a bus. Shanen (talk) 05:51, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please, kindly give me your audience and permit to relay this message to you. My name is Ghias M. K., a Pakistani nationality and Personal Aid to Prince Jefri Bolkiah; former Finance Minister of Brunei, the tiny oil-rich sultanate on the Gulf Island who has already been disseminated by the international media during the controversial dispute that erupted between my Father and his step brother, the sultan of Brunei Sheik Muda Hassanal Bolkiah.
While looking for a reliable contact on internet, I got your information from a business database and further explicit investment information about your country. As you may know by now from the international media, the sultan had accused my boss of financial mismanagement and impropriety of US$14.8 Billion dollars. This was as a result of the Asian financial crisis that made my boss company Amedeo Development Company and government owned Brunei Investment Company to be declared bankrupt during his tenure in office.
As a result interrogation, my boss was kept under house arrest, his bank accounts and private Properties including a crude oil export refinery were later confiscated by the sultanate. And on further investigation, I was contacted and summoned by some detectives but manage to escape and went into hiding from where I am contacting you now. But before the unfortunate development, out of the numerous bank accounts scattered all over asia, europe and america, I personally made a deposit of Two Hundred and Sixty Million United States Dollars ($260,000,000) with a bank in Europe but since I am still under hiding, I therefore need someone like you to entrust this money with pending when the coast will be cleared.
I will wait for your prompt response to this message for further details and where about of the fund. Please note that every correspondence must be strictly through email and nothing more from my own side because of the security reason. Hence I seek your assistance to invest these funds into profitable investment in your country to facilitate my future survival once everything is okay.
Therefore, I rely on your absolute confidentiality, transparency and trust while looking forward to your prompt response towards a swift conclusion of this business.
I am yours, Ghias M. K.
