Article is in archaic English prose - original or sourced?
[edit]If this article is original, it is imitative and badly so. If it is sourced, it is still a terrible pain to read, and needs badly to be excused by its antediluvian dating, which should be prominently noted at the top. If you are the author of this pretentious travesty - my apologies and respect for your cave-like scholastic devotion.
I am sure (I hope) this can't be the case - so somebody please attribute it?

This article contains archaic-sounding quotes from The Life of Edward Irving, by Oliphant 202.169.57.130 (talk) 03:58, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Link,

[edit]I removed the wikilink to Abraham ibn Ezra, because the translation made by Irving concerned the book of Lacunza under the pseudonym of Ben Ezra. Dutch Herder 10:14, 25 May 2005 (UTC)
The verging-on-racist language of the opening section seriously needs to be changed! 87.84.248.99 (talk) 10:04, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. I fixed it up.

Contradicting facts in this article and the Irvingites article
[edit]This article and the article on the Catholic Apostolic Church slightly contradicts each other, regarding which year Irving was removed from service in the Scottish church. That article also states he and his followers moved to a new address after his trial and deposition, this article say they moved first. A minor detail, but still it should be sorted out by someone who checks the sources. // Hurven (talk) 13:16, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
