[edit]My mother almost lived for CBS soaps when I was a small boy. I was the same age as the dead boy for whom Mary Stuart was mourning. It was all quite depressing and disturbing. What made it even worse was that not long before her best friend's little brother had died in a tractor accident, and this story arc brought it all back. It is incredible how indelible the images from what was then a fifteen-minute show could be! This must have been because it was fifteen minutes every day (at least every weekday). Theme Song
[edit]I think the vocal theme song from 1986, "Somewhere in the Night" would have been a great song. If I am going to be punished for writing my opinions, then that's wrong. 71.111.215.224 02:35, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- You're definitely not going to be punished for your opinion, but talk pages on Wikipedia aren't exactly like message boards...they're used to voice concerns about the article, and how to improve it. :) Mike H. That's hot 02:43, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, maybe you should add some audio and video files to this page. Look at Wavethemes and look under "Search for Tomorrow". 71.111.215.224 20:44, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's an issue of Wikipedia:Fair use. We may be able to use one audio file but not all of them, and even then it's a shaky road to trying to call it fair use. Mike H. That's hot 20:57, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, you may just want to focus on the 1983 and the 1986 themes. They're themes that people may recognize. 71.111.215.224 00:29, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- I was actually thinking of the earlier themes, since they were on for longer. In any case, I have to ask a few people. I'll get back to you. Mike H. That's hot 04:07, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes, sir. I will sit and wait. Let's all honor the 55th anniversary of what is considered to be the oldest soap in TV history. 71.111.215.224 20:19, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Sft51.jpg
[edit]Image:Sft51.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
