March 10: Mothering Sunday (Western Christianity, 2024)

Girl Scouts
[edit]Since March 10 can occur on any day of the week, why is Girl Scout Sunday listed here? What if it isn't Sunday? Does Girl Scout Sunday only occur if March 10 is a Sunday? -- Zoe
- Perhaps it occurs on the nearest Sunday to March 10? Like Remembrance Sunday in the UK. Just conjecture... -- Graham :) 08:21, 1 Mar 2004 (UTC)
External Links
[edit]I made use of these ‘About this Day’ pages for many years: and appreciate the External Links to the BBC, New York Post and Today In Canada pages.
But, I have to ask …
Is there an Australian, or New Zealand, equivalent?
After all, Britain, Canada and the USA, aren’t the only English speaking countries on the planet: I’m sure Aussie and Kiwi readers would appreciate the links.

End of Park Geun-hye presidency
[edit]On March 10, 2017, the impeached president of South Korea was permanently removed from office by a unanimous decision of the country's highest court. This was the culmination of a massive scandal that has dominated the country's politics and society for months. It is also the first time ever that a democratically elected president of South Korea has been removed by constitutional means--a significant milestone in the evolution of the country's democracy. The scandal and the impeachment have separate articles on the English language Wikipedia, as does the main non-political figure at the heart of the scandal, Choi Soon-sil. How exactly is this not a notable event that doesn't deserve to be included in the list of March 10 events? -- BlueResistance (talk) 16:47, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
National Mario Day
[edit]If this is a thing, it's a commercial thing. Anyone in favor of keeping it?
- I say no, it's not appropriate for this page. Go ahead --142.163.195.41 (talk) 14:05, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
The Collapse of Silicon Valley Bank
[edit]Collapse of Silicon Valley Bank was the 2nd largest bank collapse in U.S history, which occurred on March 10, 2023. Do I need to say more? InjectableBacon (talk) 11:06, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
