disambiguation
[edit]To reduce confusion between two separate Handsworths I have made cross references in Handsworth, South Yorkshire which contains a St.Mary's Church to St. Mary's Church, Handsworth in Birmingham UK, and vice versa. If there is a better way to avoid confusing two St.Mary's Churches, both in areas called Handsworth - one in Birmingham and one in Sheffield - please edit the two entries more appropriately Sibadd 01:35, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Edit summary
[edit]Several changes in this edit, too many to fit in the little box:
- The image width shouldn't be specified unless there's a very good reason to because it overides user specified default image widths, set e.g. by those with small monitors or poor eyesight. There's a policy page on this somewhere, but it's too much effort to find ;)
- "Hansworth Today" differentiates from history, but otherwise seems to be a "misc" section, and anyway, not only would that material be perfect as an introduction, but it makes sense to combine the paragraphs! Single sentence paragraphs have, unfortunately, been proliferating.
- "Small" is subjective. Readers can decide from the population data whether it's small, and if you want to aid them, you could for example provide a demographics section outlining population change, and comparing the population to the average Sheffield suburb.

Possible Copyright violation
[edit]This article was created with what looks very much like a cut and paste, of text which is claimed copyright by HECNet: see http://www.handsworth.org.uk/history/
The abvove web page claims copyright 2005, but is probably a developed version of what has been on the net for some years before.
The earliest wikipedia page cites no sources and has embedded headings as ordinary text.
The current page contains much of this text, still unsourced, though modified and formatted since. Chemical Engineer (talk) 20:22, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
