[edit]Why is this painting part of the surrealist movement? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sillstaw (talk • contribs) 23:20, 4 July 2005 (UTC)
Apparently, the text says, "This is not a pipe." I suppose that's what makes it surreal.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.55.214.221 (talk • contribs) 22:28, 13 March 2005 (UTC)

But it's not a pipe, it's a painting of a pipe, so the statement "This is not a pipe" stands true. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.36.241 (talk • contribs) 03:07, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually, it's not a painting of a pipe. It's an LCD pattern reproducing a digital image of a painting of a pipe. Collabi (talk) 10:20, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Menil Collection
[edit]I just saw this painting at the Menil Collection in Houston along with several of his other works such as Galconde--and yet the page says this painting is in the LACMA in Los Angeles. These paintings have been at the Menil for at least a year and a half. I've been twice and saw the Magritte paintings both times. This should be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eric Letcher (talk • contribs) 06:08, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
