[edit]I think the page needs an explanation to the background colour in the table. What does yellow mean ? No political affiliation ? -- PFHLai 22:14, 2004 Aug 28 (UTC)
- Yes - or at least none given in the source data. I thought this would be clear from the empty cell in the Party column. I chose yellow because it didn't carry any party connotation and seems fairly neutral. It ended up being a bit brighter than I intended. Holford 00:15, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've toned down the yellow, so they don't appear to be highlighted on my screen. Hope it's better on your screen, too. -- PFHLai 03:28, 2004 Aug 29 (UTC)
- Much better. Thanks! -- Holford 04:25, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- According to my reading of the Handbook of Texas article, “Lieutenant Governor” [1], the first non-Democrats were the Republicans during Reconstruction. Also the Presiding Officers... reference lists all that previously had no affiliation as being Democrats. — Bellhalla 22:48, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've toned down the yellow, so they don't appear to be highlighted on my screen. Hope it's better on your screen, too. -- PFHLai 03:28, 2004 Aug 29 (UTC)
